Hi, I’m Tara.
I came to mindfulness and meditation the same way many people do—through exhaustion, rupture, and the realization that something in my life needed to change. As a sober woman, a parent, and someone who has rebuilt her life from the inside out, I’ve learned that mindful awareness isn’t a luxury. It’s a lifeline.
My work is grounded in mindful parenting, nervous‑system regulation, and the belief that presence is one of the greatest gifts we can offer ourselves and the people we love. I’ve raised my children while navigating stress, overwhelm, and the messy realities of life, and mindfulness has been the thread that helped me move from reactivity to clarity, from survival mode to genuine connection.
I’m a certified meditation teacher via the Science of Mindful Awareness program at The Mindfulness Center in Bethesda, Maryland, a program rooted in neuroscience, trauma‑sensitive practice, and evidence‑based tools for emotional regulation. This training deepened what my lived experience had already taught me: that healing happens when we learn to meet ourselves with compassion, curiosity, and steadiness.
Today, I guide individuals, couples, and groups in practices that help them return to themselves—whether they’re navigating sobriety, parenting challenges, work stress, or simply the weight of being human. My approach is gentle, grounded, and deeply practical. You don’t have to be perfect, peaceful, or put‑together to begin. You just have to arrive as you are.
